Jeff Loomis Enduring Difficult Time

I love my dad. I’m not afraid to say it. He’s a stand-up guy who is fun to hang out with, and I love the time I do get with him. I should actually make more time to hang with my dad, something I intend to work on this summer.

That said, I feel for Jeff Loomis.

Jeff’s dad just passed, and so he had stepped away from his current tour with Soilwork, Blackguard, Bonded By Blood and Hatchet to be with his family.

“On April 22nd in Corpus Christi, Texas, I got the very sad news of my father’s passing right before we were about to perform,” says Jeff in an online posting.

“I will be flying home to be with my family tonight and will rejoin the Soilwork tour in Richmond, VA on the 29th. Thank you all for your support and warm thoughts.

“My dad meant the world to me and this is a very difficult time for both me and my family…,” his message concludes.

Our thoughts are with Jeff. Know this Jeff; it’s only not metal to crew if you’ve just been arrested for assault. Otherwise, in this case, I think crying is warranted.
